Introduced By

  • A new field has been added allowing you to denote who introduced you to a contact.
  • On the Contact > Relationships tab, long press to mark any of their other relations that they introduced you to.
  • After selecting, you’ll be prompted to set a relationship between the two contacts if not already present.

Add Event Attendees Revamp

  • The Add Event / Add Attendees screen has been redesigned from the ground up…
  • Use the new unified inline search field to search existing contacts or to add a new name.
  • On iPad with attached Keyboard: Use the arrow keys to select a result from the inline search.
  • It’s now possible to fill out interaction notes & set follow up reminders for existing contacts directly when adding them to an event.*
  • Use the new Relationships button to set relationship between people you met or to existing contacts added to the event.
  • After setting a relationship between 1 or more attendees, toggle the “Introduced” button to also denote who made the introduction.

In-Person Interactions

  • When logging an interaction, there is now an “In-Person” interaction type.
  • Selecting this allows you to optionally attach the Place where the interaction occurred.
  • When viewing a Place, there is now an Interactions tab showing in-person interaction logs linked to that Place.
  • The interaction form has been redesigned to be more compact & faster to use.

Improvements

  • On the Person Screen you can now edit individual contact information sections without having to switch to edit mode for the whole screen.
  • Add Place & Scan Business Card buttons have been added to the home screen.
  • Contacts that have additional data stored in Dextr (relationships, tags, interaction logs, etc) are now required to be archived before deleting. The delete confirmation now includes more information of what will also be removed by deleting the contact.
  • You can now add a contact to an event from the Person Interactions tab.

Changes

  • Conference Call has been removed as an interaction type. Use Calendar events for conference calls.

Navigate your contacts library visually with new stats section on the Home Tab.

  • Hometowns: Breakdown of likely hometowns based on contact phone numbers and/or explicitly added hometown information.

Home Page Refresh

  • Quick Actions section (now named Add New) is now laid out in a compact grid.
  • Organize Contacts section (now named Organize) is more compact and includes a refreshed progress indicator on Card Stack launcher & a card for total number of Unorganized contacts. This section will be hidden when all contacts are organized to save space.
  • Places section is now more compact, and shows recently added Places instead of nearby Places.

Changes

  • Section headers are now inset to match iOS UI standards. You can disable this in More > Settings > Sort & Display.

  • Added new Textable Contacts shortcut, allowing you to mass text contacts individually via Apple Shortcuts.

Organization Levels

  • Dextr & Search features work best the more information you provide about your contacts. To help with this, there is a new Organization Level system that encourages you to add more details about your contacts.
  • Indicator Dots will appear in Card Stack Organizer & Contact Screen fields to show which fields need to be filled out to reach the next Organization Level for that contact.
  • A new Organize Level sort option has been added to contact lists, making it easy to find people that need more information added.
  • When sorting a contact list by Organize Level, additional icons will appear to indicate contact info contributing to their Organization Level.

Improvements

  • Card Stack Organizer “Next” button will say “Skip” when no changes are made to organize the contact.
  • Added first met place to contact row hint (hints are shown if a contact does not have last name).

Interaction Logs*

  • Log notes for calls, messages, emails, and event conversations with contacts in your library.
  • Initiate a call, message, or email from Dextr to automatically create an Interaction Log to fill out later.
  • View a timeline of Interactions and manually add an Interaction Log via the new Interactions sub-tab when viewing a contact.
  • Sort any contact list by Last/Previous Interaction to quickly find who you’ve been in contact with recently.

Mark an event as virtual and select the platform for the event (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc).

  • The Contact Events tab has been unified into the new Interactions tab.

Business Card Scanner

  • When adding a new person, there is a new toolbar button to scan a business card using your device’s camera.
  • The scanner uses on-device intelligence to extract contact information including: name, job title, organization, phone numbers, emails, and address.

Siri Integration

  • It’s now possible to use Siri to interact with Dextr!

  • Added ability to tap a person’s photo to view the full image.

  • When setting a first met place for a Person, a place for your current location will now display at the top.
  • When viewing a relation type in More > Relation type, the “Your <relation type> count” row can now be tapped to view all people with that relation to you, including archived.

Tags

  • When viewing a person, add/remove tags in the new Tags tab.
  • The First Met Notes field supports inline tags. For example, entering “Wants to go #kayaking Sunday” will automatically add the #kayaking tag to that person
  • Get an overview of everyone’s tags from the People > Tags sub-tab. See people within a specific tag group by tapping again to select a group.
  • Tags will be displayed by the order set in More > Tags.

Other

  • Bulk Actions: From any person list it is now possible to email, tag, set relation, and archive in bulk.*
  • It is now possible to add future events* and set a specific event start time

Improvements

  • Adding/editing relation groups is easier than ever. Tap the color dot to change the group color or tap the pencil icon to edit the name.
  • Editing relation types also got easier. No need to enter Edit mode, just start making your changes and tap the checkmark to confirm.
  • Events Screen & Rows have been redesigned to allow for more information to be displayed at a glance.
  • From Search, it’s now possible view all people results for an arbitrary search term and perform bulk edits* on the results.
  • The group color containing the system “acquaintance” type is now used across the app for things related to newly met people.
  • Added Discord Server as a default Social Platform and updated icons.
  • Added Substack as a default Social Platform (when setting, just include the domain prefix as the handle).
  • Optimized the animated color gradient, reducing CPU usage.
