Keep More of the Story
A contact tells you who someone is. A photo, document, or video can help you remember the rest of the story. File uploads bring those details into Dextr, so the things you save stay connected to the people and moments that make them useful.
Save a conference photo beside the person you met. Keep an event agenda with the event itself. Bring a document back into view when you reconnect, without retracing a trail through folders and camera rolls.
Your Files, Connected to Your World
You can import documents, photos, and videos into Dextr’s Files library, then attach them to contacts and events. Add something directly from a person or event, or save it in the library first and link it later.
Import from Files to choose a document or other file available through your device’s Files picker. Import from Photos to select photos and videos. On an iPhone with an available camera, Take Photo lets you capture something new.
Attach Files to People
A person’s Files button gives you a place for the material you associate with them: a photo from your first meeting, a project brief they shared, or a document you want to revisit before your next conversation.
Open their contact and tap Files beneath their name to add or view attachments. The file count makes it easy to see that there is more context waiting there.
Attach Files to Events
Events have their own Files section. Keep an agenda, a venue document, photos, or a video together with the event’s date, place, notes, and people.
For a conference, that might mean keeping the schedule with the event and linking a photo to someone you met there. For a community gathering, it might mean saving the planning document and photos so you can pick up the story next time.
One File Can Belong to More Than One Story
You do not have to upload a file again every time it becomes relevant somewhere else. Link Existing Files connects a saved file to another contact or event.
A single conference photo can be attached to both Alex Morgan and the Design Conference event. From the file’s details, its linked Contacts and Events show those connections and give you a way back to the people and occasion behind it.
Find What You Saved, Where You Need It
Browse everything in the central Files library, return to a person’s Files screen, or open the Files section of an event. Filter the library to all files, photos and videos, or documents; switch between list and grid views when available; and sort by name, kind, date, or size.
The benefit is simple: less searching, more remembering. A useful attachment is close at hand before a conversation, while planning an event, or when looking back at a shared experience.
Try File Uploads
Start with one file that has a person or occasion behind it. Add it to Dextr, link it to the relevant contact or event, and give it a name you will recognize later.
Follow the File Uploads How-To Guide for step-by-step instructions and dark-mode screenshots showing uploads, attachments, and linked records.
If Dextr displays a subscription prompt for Files, it will show the access required for your plan.
